Howdy Guys!

This is my first actual thread post so go easy on me please.

I will give a little background on me first before i proceed, so i was 16st 7lbs (231lbs) at the end of September 2012 due to sitting in front of my computer gaming 24/7 and doing no exercise at all and eating anything during the day.
The first week of October is when i started lifting weights with my friend who had been training almost a year by then, we train a 5 day split (i think that's the saying) were we hit a group of muscles each day and like Back one day, Legs, Chest etc on separate days, anyways to be honest i didn't take the first month seriously, due to personal commitments a my own attitude towards it, i would always stop my reps too soon until my friend noticed what i was doing and pushed me to get that extra 2 reps out, this has helped me a lot since then and i push myself more.

My weight didn't change much the first month or two but i could see my body changing, (got progress pics if needed) so i decided to kinda scrap the scales and just look at myself, until i managed to drop to 16st (224lbs) at Christmas.

Come the 4th of January i started the Keto Diet and since then i have lost 9lbs and i weigh 15st 5lbs (215lbs) but due to financial reasons and general ill-informed family i need to come off this diet and preferably onto another diet that includes carbs but still allow me to lose BF% while hopefully keeping my muscle/gains as i have found a drop in reps of my current weights while lifting. (Think i might still be in newbie gains)

So i picked up MFP to help with my calorie counting and general motivation and so far it is great, loving the barcode scanner :D

Add me up so i have some friends aha

I love the barcode scanner too! Its super handy and makes keeping track of food easier. I also love the recipe maker thing because I cook most of my meals from scratch and it does all the math for me. Keep up all the good work!
