EXTREMELY frustrated!!

So, heres the deal, I know I have only been on MFP for a week, but I have been trying to lose weight for what seems to be forever prior to this.(and I lost a significant amount over the course of a year) I set my calorie and exercise goals on here to lose 2 pounds this week. I did awesome! I stayed within my calorie budget and even went a little over my exercise goals. So why then, when I stepped on the scale this morning did I only lose .6 of a pound? This is beyond frustrating to me! The scale did not budge no matter what I tried previously to MFP and I thought this would be my saving grace. .6 of a pound could just be water for all I know! I am beyond frustrated and don't know what I am doing wrong! I need some encouragement or mabye some suggestions!!

I had this same trouble when I first started and that is when it is the hardest to shed the weight. I also found out it was 'muscle weight' where I had been working out quite a look. Muscle weight is a good thing, but I feel your frustration at the scales not moving, it has taken me numerous weeks to see the scale move a little bit. But have faith, they will move soon
Hope this helped a little anyway! :flowerforyou:0 -
Keep at it.... your doing well... You did not gain the weight over the course of 1 day or 1 week, it will take some time to take it off the right way and not let it creep back... It's a lifestyle change... know that you are getting Healthy.. adn weight loss is just a plus... Keep at it... if you find that in another week or two the scale still isn't moving, up your calories, make your workout a lil more intense, you gotta find what works for YOUR body... MFP is a guideline... Keep it up, eat healthy, and keep at your fitness... You'll do it.... It may take longer than you want (like me) but I've just given into the fact that I keepp doin what I'm doin, I'll be healthier, and hopefully weigh less.... I'm here if you need anything...

Unless you're very obese, 2 pounds a week is a pretty unrealistic goal. Try setting your goal at 1 pound a week. If you're not eating your exercise calories, consider eating some or even all of them.

Hi Heather...... Don't get discouraged! It will start moving just stick to the calories and exercise and stay positive!! Next week you might be down two pounds but don't go by the losing 2 a week, i put that in too and I only lost two pounds one week and one the rest. Everyone is different and sometimes it takes a while for your body to react........It took time to put it on and it will take time to take it off. It will happen just keep goin...ok!0
