wondering how many calories per day y'all spend on snacks? between meals??? thx

    starting to think this is a problem over 300ish per day,, 300 or 400ish at night.. plateau for a looong time..

    I eat 500-700 calories in snacks every day. I basically eat all day long, lol! I have a snack mid-morning and another mid-afternoon and then one after dinner.

    Same here, about 500-700. Pretty much do eat all day long. If I haven't eaten in 2 hours I start getting antsy :P

    I'm a constant grazer so I don't really do big meals but each time I eat I put between 200 and 600 calories in. Diary is open, take a look if you want.

    I snack on about 200-250 a day but thats because I like my meals to be more substantial.

    I don't so much snack as eat like a hobbit. First breakfast, second breakfast, elevensies, lunch...

    I'd say I'm up somewhere around 500-1000 calories in the in between meals, but it's counteracted by my high activity levels (marathon and triathlon training)

    200 to 500, but I prefer to have three bigger meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner rather than lots of little meals, which makes me feel more hungry!

    It depends! If my meals don't total very high in calories and I've worked out that day, then I can eat up to 600 calories in snacks. Usually, I'd say I eat around 200-400 calories in snacks. If you want to snack more, but don't have a lot of extra calories, choose fruits and vegetables (grapes, cherry or grape tomatoes and celery are good).

    I do best when I eat frequently so I have about 6 or 7 small meals per day. Here's my normal schedule:

    Meal 1: 8:30a at work
    Meal 2: 10:30a
    Meal 3: 12:30p
    Meal 4: 3:30p
    Meal 5: 6 or 7p
    Meal 6: 9p (usually something small, 100-200 cals max to take the edge off before bed if I'm a little hungry)

    Same Here! I have three snacks during the day and I can still make it w/in my 1,300 calories. I snack on everything, I don't limit my foods to specific kinds of food.

    so y;all are about the same as me. I'm gonna try to keep 225ish day snack calories split between now and say 4:30pm... then dinner at work...
  • I almost always have to have a snack in between lunch and dinner. They are mostly between 170-300 calories.

    This is more like how I do things...it seems to be consistently what professionals want us to do. eat frequently.

    This week I have started doing it a little different.... I am making my high protein items my snacks, so they are a little higher then the norm, but it is helping with the hunger issue. Today I had a spiced nut snack around 10 that is 250 calories, and it is working very well. It is like having a small meal in between the slightly larger calorie meals.

    well, right now I'm having almonds / pistachio nuts and it totaled 200 calories.
