Pandora workout station (app on my phone) is my favorite station. Its free or if you pay $5 a month you don't have to hear commercials. I love Pandora because the songs are always changing and you don't get sick of them. There are literally hundreds of music channels on it.

Anything and (almost) everything...old school rap, 80's, heavy metal, top 40....just find things you like (and do some searching on the site here...there are some music groups that post playlists frequently).

When you hear something on the radio that makes you want to move...make a note of it and get that song.

i usually forget my headphones, and just blast pandora/iheartradio/songster from my phone on full blast while curling in the squat rack and grunting at the top of my lungs.

and i drop the weights too. because you should be looking at me.

I listen to Industrial music most of the time because it is blood-pumping and kinda angry sounding (but fun to me and keeps me going). Some of my favorite bands are VNV Nation and Pitchfork Project. I also listen to people like Roisin Murphy and club music from the 80's and 90's- like The Pet Shop Boys. To change it up, I also listen to Neil Diamond, The Animals and other peppy songs from the 60's and 70's . I am a musician and have very eclectic taste in music :p

Anything with a high bpm then I can match my cardio steps to it. If it's too slow I get sluggish!
Remixes of chart hits I find are quite good - you can google songs with a high bpm to find ones you like and make a playlist of your own.
I love chart music for the gym just because I can listen to it mindlessly and just follow the beat - so stuff like Gaga, Britney, Black Eyed Peas, songs by Guetta or Calvin Harris - it just depends how much you can stomach haha!

    Beck: E-Pro
    Mika: Grace Kelly
    Led Zeppelin: Misty Mountain Hop

and the list goes on, but maybe something will catch your ear? Good luck :)

I use Pandora. Like it or not, I use dubstep and industrial. (*I like it, just not Skrillex. He ruined the fun for everyone.) Dubstep is always 130-145 bpm. I have a DJ friend that does industrial clubs in Detroit so he whips up stuff for me that's at 130.

I actually don't listen to anything while I am lifting weights as I tend to focus on breathing correctly. I know it sounds stupid, but it seriously helps me push through if I concentrate on breathing properly. If I do cardio (usually a run once a week) I listen to Pandora's David Guetta channel.

Somehow I missed that Pandora has channels! I've only used it by typing in a song, and say play songs like this. Good to know! Will check out the work out channel today.
