Am I the only one that eats raw oats?

I don't like the texture of cooked oatmeal. I just put the raw oats in a bowl with half a scoop of protein powder and pour milk on them. I don't let them sit for any length of time; I just eat them right away. These are the regular "old fashioned" oats, not quick cooking or instant.

I LOVE raw oats! I don't put anything on them, I just eat them plain.0

I eat them raw all the time. They're an essential ingredient in muesli.0

I used to eat them raw when my mom and I were baking oatmeal cookies--she always laughed at me. I haven't eaten them like that in years, though. Mmm...raw oats...that sounds delicious!0

I eat them raw, but I put my almond milk in there the night before and stick it all in the fridge. I love it! I never liked oats, but it was just because I don't like the texture once they are cooked. Once I figured out I could do it this way, it became my favorite breakfast!0

I have them raw, just with milk or some days I may mix in a low fat yogurt. I've never soaked them.0

Be careful how much you eat raw. Coworker of mine had a horror story about that. His sister, as a little girl, would eat raw oats all the time. Once, she ate a good cup or 2 of them, then drank a bunch of water. Had to go to the hospital because of how much the oats then expanded in her stomach. Kind of a freak story I know, but you never know0

I tried something similar to this last night actually. Instead of the seeds though I put in some honey, unsweetened cocoa, and banana. Not too bad but not nearly as good as my apple cinnamon overnight oatmeal. Found that one and a bunch of others on this website...

My sister is a bodybuilder and her cutting diet involves eating oatmeal. She hates the texture of cooked oats, and so she mixes them up with an egg and an(I think only one?) egg white and cooks it on the stove like a pancake.
I like them raw, but I also like making baked oatmeal.0 -
I toss them right into my protein shake before i mix it
its awesome!0 -
I eat them with yogurt, fruit and honey!0

I used to eat raw oats as a child , i loved them0

I have them raw in muesli when going for big hikes. Quick, fills me up and gives me energy for hours! Not a big fan of sloppy, mushy breakfasts!0

Yay!!!! I've been eating raw oats since I was a child and everyone said I was weird and called me a horse!!!! I still eat them as a snack sometimes, but I like the 1-minute oats the best.0

I don't eat them raw in a bowl, but I do eat them raw with potatoes sometimes. My wife is of Scottish background and her Scottish mom has this really simple but awesome potato recipe that we do...just boil new potatoes (whole, skin and all), strain...put back in pot and add a pad of butter and raw oats and toss. Doesn't sound like much, but it's awesome. We use olive oil more often than not these days...I actually think it's better.0

My usual work-day breakfast is oats that have been soaked overnight. Oats, chia seed, handful of dried raisins, greek yoghurt all soaked in hazelnut milk. Yum!!0

My boss eats bran flakes without any milk or even water because he does not like them soggy:huh:0

I eat them pretty "raw." I like my oatmeal to be hot so I add hot water from the coffeemaker to them, but I eat them immediately because I like them "chewy" not "mushy."
Seriously, add some coconut, some crushed cocoa roast almonds... Amazing!0 -
NOOOOO... even my kids love that.. I give it to them as a snack during the day too.. they just add a little honey and some milk and loveeeee to eat it like that... YUMMY... I grew up loving it as a kid too...0
