The McDonald's across the street is taunting me from my office. Does it have to be St Patty's Shamrock Shake time?

I tried the Shamrock Shakes at McDonald's before I started MFP and I gotta say I didn't like it as much.

Maybe a bad batch or since growing up I've grown out of them.

If you can stay below your calories for the day then I say do it.

Sounds good. What's in it? Irish Cream, Irish Whisky, Ice cream?

    Green milkshake,,, pistachio.

God-awful rich and creamy. Pretty good if you like pistachios (which I do). I'll probably have a small one as a treat.

I walked the mall (5 laps, 4 miles) on Friday so that I could have my small Shamrock Shake. It has to be a planned event for me. I LOVE them, and although I would love to have them year round, I love that they are only available for a short time. It makes it special. I think that I am going to do the same thing tomorrow. Mall walking, then a shamrock shake. :)

You have to let yourself enjoy food sometimes. You'll burn out if you don't. Just be careful :)

    Step 1: Go to store
Step 2: Buy mint chocolate chip frozen yogurt
Step 3: Blend it up with some skim/rice/soy/almond (whatever you have) milk
Step 4: Enjoy your very own grasshopper/shamrock shake!
