Alternative perspectives on your job :)

Inspired by a conversation I had with a colleague today.

I am the junior person at my workplace (a school). I sort out the noticeboards, do photocopying and filing, wash stinky PE kits, and do all the various odd jobs. Some people would call me the "general dogsbody", and wonder how I can do such lowly work.
However, I look at it from a different perspective:
All the time I spend doing these jobs, is time that my colleagues can spend doing their jobs to the best of their ability, instead of, say, queueing for the photocopier. At present, one of my jobs is organising and restocking the worksheets in the isolation room. While I do this, the pastoral manager (who is also the school's child protection officer) can spend time working on important issues involving students. I do the little, bitty jobs that suck up peoples' time, so they can do the jobs they need to do without getting bogged down in stuff like filing.

Anyone else got a different perspective than other people, about the job they do? :)
