Horseback Riding!

By the amount of horse back riding I do, you would think I would be 100lbs. I always hear its such great exersice, but has anyone really had sucessful weight loss doing it? It is true my leg, core, calf, and lowerback muscles always feel very strong and toned, so im wondering if riding should be considered more strengh exercise then cardio. Also I am a western, not english rider, so not a whole lot of posting going in my style of riding. (riders will know what I'm talking about) lol
