The new fat girl at my circuit training class

Yesterday I took a new class and I looked around the room and noticed I was the only out of shape person...old me would've been discouraged instead I took my time and apparently kicked *kitten* at the weights (I need to push myself with cardio), crunches and yoga so 2 out of three isn't bad at all.

I'm gonna use all those skinny people as my motivation!

Good for you!! Great job for not getting discouraged. You never know how "fat" some of those skinny girls used to be ;) Everyone started somewhere.

Keep kicking butt! This is for you, and only you can do it. Awesome you're using this as incentive and not getting discouraged!

You kicked *kitten* at weights? Then you are not out of shape :) Sounds like you are giving it 110% effort. Keep at it, you are doing it right !!
  • Great attitude, Show them what you can do. Cardio will come with increased stamina. Awesome NSV.

Why do we do this? I do the same at my workout class.....look around and see if anyone is fatter, it's terrible. I'm there for me! Just need to look at me only, compare last weeks me to this weeks me! Keep going! Keep improving, and getting stronger and healthier each week!

I didn't even think about it that way, you're right they probably had to start from the bottom like me at some point.

My thinking was one day I'm gonna be jogging on the treadmill like them one day while still keeping ALL these curves (no offense to the thinner ladies).

Great job!! I probably would have done that one class and then not gone back, so good for you for using those skinny girls as motivation :)

That is fantastic! What a great attitude.

I have always felt awkward and lumpy in group classes, I haven't tried them in many years. I tripped and fell in a Jazzercize class once and never went back. (Yes, Jazzercise. I'm that old. They were fun though.)

^^ This! And you have the right attitude to use their size as a motivator for you to push harder.
I was the fat girl once and someone just starting out might think of me (now) as perfectly fit having no idea that 8 short months ago I was really unhealthy. Don't let anything like someone else's being smaller discourage you because one day soon, you will be the smaller one and wouldn't want to think of yourself as de-motivational.
