Suggestion for good protein powder

I have been asked by my dietician to add some protein powder in my daily intake. I am a vegetarian and don't get much protein from the food I eat.

My goal is to loose 50lbs and I workout about 2 hrs everyday (1 hr in morning and 1 in evening) where I burn about 800-950 calories. I do feel I need some more energy to stay healthy i.e. not get too tired after any workout.

Could someone please suggest me some best protein powder for woman. Also, when could be the best time to have that powder and where can I find it as in Walmart, walgreens or any other store name...

I use Optimum Nurtition 100% whey gold standard. Vanilla Ice cream flavor. It mixes in well with just about anything. its a little on the expensive side, but ive noticed the cheaper stuff tends to clump and can be really gross.

Expense shouldn't be a big problem. I want something which doesn't affect on health... I doubt on cheap powders though I have never tried any till now.

I like the Optimum Nutrition brand, too. I prefer Extreme Milk Chocolate to the vanilla, though.

I really like vega one! I think it is especially good for vegetarians because it has probiotics and omega 3 in it as well as being a complete protein source.

I just bought Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein Vanilla at Walmart like a week ago... I got the big one for like 20 bucks!

    One scoop = 30mg protein = 130calories.

I mix it with water! It's very tasty :)

I am reading a lot of good reviews for "Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein"... but it even says that it is mostly for body builders... I want to reduce weight but DONT ever wish to have muscular shaped body.

Could it still be good for woman(me) ?? :D

Um, by the way, increasing your protein intake will not make you into a bodybuilder. Training like a bodybuilder will do that...

Anyway, I use PlantFusion vanilla protein powder. It's vegan, gluten free, soy free, etc. I haven't tried it with just water, but in a smoothie it's not too bad.
