Intro: Liberatedthinker

Hello all,

I am Liberatedthinker and I am trying to lose 30 lbs. I want to drop from 188 to 160, I am actually counting calories starting today and increasing my activity. I actually am doing 2 programs. The P90X classic and the Convict Conditioning. I am doing both because I want the strength CC offers and I want to burn the calories that P90X does. I am drinking the last of my beer and I quit smoking so I am trying to get on the right track. You all have a good night and drop me a line sometime.

  • I decided I am going to weight in on Saturdays. I started off at 188 and today I am 182. So that is in 6 days.

Good luck and awesome way to think. Just follow MFP guidelines and you will do great. Please eat your calories, one of the biggest things we see on here is people working out really hard, not eating their calories and getting frustrated.

    Welcome.

Awesome way to take control and make changes!
CC was on back order, I wanted to get it and Be You Own Gym. I use the Be You Own Gym, but want to check if the Convict Conditioning ever came back in stock. I thought Amazon would mail it when it did, without n me having to reorder, but that was back in October.
I don"t do much cardio at all. My ticker ticks to quickly and sporadically. But I have found as I am strengthening muscle and eating healthier, my heart can take a bit more cardio that it use to!

    Kudos and Good Luck!

160 is my goal weight so we have something in common, lets get this weight off together :)
  • I am sorry I didnt reply earlier but I didnt know that anyone replied, thanks ladies. I did CC for about 3 weeks and got used to being active again. I have been doing the P90X for nearly 2 weeks, but I am only going to count it as one because of the crappy start I had.

@ akaMrsmojo- Yeah my wife and I are trying to get the right calories. She is more aggressive with the cutting than I am.

    @ bnatasha2Yeah lets do that!

@ 3foldchord- I got it on my kindle and it was 15ish dollars cheaper. Honestly it is a decent book but I wouldn't pay more than 20 for it. Of course if you follow that book for the rest of your life it is money well spent. I also have you are your own gym and that is cheaper on the kindle than CC and the work outs are more intense.

  • Reintro, I am back and this time I am staying. No more having weight or laziness sneak up on me. Been pretty busy since my son was born. I signed up for a Tough Mudder 2014 and that is a fun goal to have in mind. Good luck to everyone!
