I've been a regular gym goer for a fair while, and mostly used my old polar f1 HRM, which didn't give me a calorie count. It recently died, so I treated myself to a ft4, and used it for the 1st time today.
I did 35 minutes on the vario cross trainer (after inputting my weight & age on machine) had average HR of about 150. Machine said 408 cals burned, HRM said 318. I'm presuming my HRM is more accurate and I should use those figures?
I then did 10 mins hiit on rower, and it said 108 (no personal info inputted) and HRM said 110 so a bit more matched.
Thanks for any input

Definitely go with the HRM I have the same one and I find it far more accurate! Plus better to log you burned less then to log you burned more and take in more calories you know.0
