help with 30DS and weight lifting.

I bought the 30DS and want to know if anyone did it without doing the squat and lunges. I'm 59 and weigh 220 at 5' l.5 and have problems with my knees. What did you do and did you still get results? I'm hoping that as I lose weight my knee will get better. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Would I still get could results with weight lifting only doing the upper body and walking on the treadmill for now. Until my legs get stronger. Like I said above I can't do the lunges and squats right now because of pain.

I skipped the lunges and the jumping jacks.0

I marched in place of jumping jacks. you could also do the punches or jog in place as long as you are moving.0
