Calculating Macros

I read on one of the boards something about Macros (I thought that was something I created with my computer software!). Anyways I'd love to figure out what my macros are and try sticking eating foods within those perimeters. Can anyone give me a formula? And this isn't just for body builders is it?

    OMG I keep trying to figure it out and I'm pretty sure I'm just not smart enough!!!!! I need slightly lower carbs than the average person which makes it even more confusing to me...

    Macros are protein, carbs and fats. You can also consider alcohol another macro but obviously its not essential to good health.

    I would suggest determining your protein needs, setting your fats to a reasonable amount, and just letting carbs take up the remainder. Start by reading this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/819055-setting-your-calorie-and-macro-targets

    As an extra piece of advice, you may want to add that group to your list. The goal there is to help get science based information to everyone in an easy way. Everyone has their own approach but I like it.
