When you log your food and exercise, what are the remaining calories? Like the amount of calories I still need to eat to get a healthy intake or just standing calories?

MFP sets you up with a NET calorie goal. This is the amount of calories you want to reach after food and exercise have been added in. The more exercise you do, the more food you get to eat. Person A eats 1500 calories but does no exercise. Their net calories are 1500. Person B eats 1800 calories, but he/she exercised 300 calories on that day. Person B will net 1500 calories as well. 1800 (food) -300 (exercise) = 1500 net calories.
Some people eat the same amount each day regardless of exercise. When weight loss was my goal I set my MFP for 1200 calories and ate back about half of my exercise calories. So I was eating 1500-1600 calories in food, but when I added my exercise in I was netting around 1200. I personally ate back about half of what I earned in exercise. I tried to leave about 200 calories at the end of each day for overestimating exercise or underestimating food.
Hope this helps. Good luck!0
