Cannellini beans and Northern beans

Are pretty much the same? I'm asking because I get my cannellini beans shipped from Italy every a few months or so and it gets to be a little expansive... I tried Northern beans and altho I like them I found them to have a different consistency... not as creamy as Cannellini

They're two different varieties of beans. They're both white beans but cannellini are a little longer and as you noted, they are creamier. Why do you get your cannellini shipped from Italy? I get mine in bulk from Whole Foods.0

My sister sends me a package every few months... I did not know Whole Foods had cannellini beans.. I will check them out
