It's good, but people should really google the "tabata myth" - not that Tabata is a myth but the way in which Tabata is described as a four minute magic bullet. It is not, and the big question from this training guide is, "How does one know that they are at 170% of VO2 Max?" - answer you cannot because you do not have the lab equipment to measure this peak performance.
The 20 second work, 10 second rest * 8 sets is supposed to be done for 5 rounds in a circuit.
The actual Tabata study still had athletes performing at least 70 minutes of cardio per week, along with specific strength training.
Don't get me wrong, better to get your heart blasting, the type II fibers burning than be stood on the treadmill hardly breaking a sweat.
