SALT - you do learn something new everyday

This is more of a public information post than a discussion. On BBC Radio 4 at the moment there is a programme called "Inside Health". I do not know if people from outside the UK can listen to this informative 30 minutes but here is a link:

Professor from the UK who worked with an American body who by all accounts have now published and had peer reviewed the most deifinitive research into salt and the human body.
You can listen but the fast conclusion is - all processed food is overladen with salt and that salt is killing people. Food that people prepare and use salt in the cooking process is normal and beneficial under most circumstances. Salt in processed foods is not always declared as an ingredient, it can be classed as a binding agent.
I never knew the thing about binding agents. Worrying, to say the least.
