GoFit Elite Articulated Grip Weightlifting Gloves?

Has anyone bought and used these gloves? I got a pair Monday night and used them for the first time last night. In the third rep of my first exercise (bench press on a smith machine) the material that covers the padded areas in the palm of the right glove started disintegrating. By the end of my workout I had a few very clear spots where the outermost layer of material had worn away completely. Has anyone else used these gloves? Was your experience better?

On the bright side, I contacted GoFit Customer Service this afternoon and told them about the issue. They were very accommodating and quickly offered to send me a new pair of gloves (which are now on the way). The woman I spoke to said that they should be more durable but seemed to indicate that maybe she had heard of this problem before. Very nice to have a manufacturer that stands behind their product so readily. Especially when you consider that I purchased them through a retailer and not the manufacturer's web store. So if nothing else I really like them for that and may check out their other products.

Anyway, let me know if you've ever used the same gloves (or even one of their other models of gloves) and what your experience was.
