I've done so well for the last two weeks and then lately I feel like i've slacked!

HELP!

I'm getting married in June 2011 and I'd LOVE to be under 200lbs by then, that means I have 14months to lose about 50lbs.

I wish I could see the weight loss, faster. That'd keep me motivated.

Looking at your picture, you are going to be a beautiful bride. Take one day at a time. Try not to get discouraged. Keep on keeping on. YOU CAN DO THIS. Chin up. You go girl. :drinker: :flowerforyou:
  • I find this difficult too, and am getting married this September so have a very similar goal. One thing that I find really helps is to treat each day individually. If you screw up one meal, or one day, just remember that the next day or meal is a new start and don't punish yourself for your previous mistakes. We all make slip ups, and as long as you can learn to control them and ensure that they don't happen too often then they are ok. Also, I have a tendency to just not record when I have slip ups, but I find that if you actually write down when you are "slacking" that is a good motivator as you will be forced to see just how many calories that cost you!

When you have a lot of weight to lose (as I do too!) it seems like you are never getting anywhere, but just think about that end goal. Just remember that even 2lb a week is 8lb a month and that's a significant chunk. Keep it up, you'll get there:)

break up the weight loss goals into 15lb incraments, or 8-10lb a month. it lifts the load, so to speak. it takes time and hard work, giving up will not get you there. one day at a time, then that will become easy, then go for one week at a time.

i have an inspirational board right by my bed with pictures of people i feel i CAN look like, and motivating sayings.

dont get me wrong, i have lost and gained some back, but i have not given up, i know it wont happen over night or in a week, i just keep on going and stay positive.

    good luck girl!
  • Congratulations for getting married! Do you have your dream dress yet or in mind? Maybe post a pic of it on your fridge or in your bathroom on the mirror or near the scale to help keep you motivated.
  • thank you so much for all your tips and motivation!

This really means alot since I dont have many people in real life supporting me!
