Tacos on corn tortillas without cheese or sour cream, add salsa for extra flavor
Sandwich on wheat bread also without cheese, mayo or dressing/oil, add lots of veggies for extra flavor
Grilled Chicken/fish salad - easy on the dressing
Broth based soups
Turkey burger on wheat bun
Hummus, tabbouleh & pita bread (if you have an Indian place nearby)0 -
wonton soup or shrimp with vegetables are healthier options from Chinese restaurants.0

Honestly... I would suggest that you start stocking up on quick healthy things that you can make in just a few minutes from home... then you know exactly how much you are getting and where your food came from... Crock pots are a busy girl's best friend!
Aside from that... most places will have nutritional information on their websites... If you are really getting an urge to go somewher, check out their menu first and see what option you can fit into your calories for the day.
Wendy's chili, Panera, and Subway are all not bad options... I LOVE Panera... they are just a little pricey for me... Wendy's Chili and subway are both relatively inexpensive.0 -
Take one day a week or every two weeks and do a bunch of cooking. Stock up on foods and cook all day. Than portion out into containers and pop into the freezer for quick meals when you don't have the time to cook.
Or as someone else pointed out, make use of a crockpot. Put the ingredients in it in the morning, set it and than it's done when you get home. Simple and very fast.
When you do cook make extras to last you a few more meals.0 -
^ this.
My freezer is full of stuff. when you DO get time to cook, make extra. it makes me feel great to open the freezer and see a few things to choose from :-)0 -
We always keep frozen chicken breasts and fish as well as frozen veggies so we can whip up something quickly. That said, there's nothing wrong with a slice of pizza, just don't order the deep dish supreme with extra cheese0

Setting my DVR to record her show now... Thanks!0 -
Where I'm from, nandos and pita pit are both excellent options.
Maybe go to a pho place? Or grab some sushi?
They're all healthier, but not exactly the healthiest. Perfectly fine for those days when you have nothing at home though0
