I use to run miles and miles, ran the San Diego, Burlington Vermont, and Chicago marathons....then like Forest, just stopped running (mostly due to a knee problem and possible burnout). When I do run, it's usually no more than 4 miles a clip..........
PROBLEM IS?............I want that same high I use to get from running, and I just haven't been able to feel it with other forms of exercise.
Anyone else have this problem and suggestions to get excited about exercise again (and obviously not running long runs, lol)

I'm a marathoner also and a definate long run junky myself but did find when I needed to not run for a while that swimming long gave me a similar satisfaction and of cours cycling (the real thing on the road) works well too.
Hope you find that feeling again....0
