QUESTION FOR THE GIRLS OF MFP!

Hello everyone!

So I know most of us gain a little bit of weight during our time of the month and i was just wondering how long you wait afterwards to weigh yourself? I've heard two days, what do you guys think?

Thanks!

My weight gain tends to happen a few days leading up to my "time of the month." By the 2nd day into it, my weight has usually gone back down.

I usually just avoid the scales until the following week....I can get pretty discouraged if I see a gain + it's that time of the month so I tend to want to eat EVERYTHING anyway. So to keep me sane I stay away from weigh in :)

About a few days after for me. I try to weight myself after I'm no longer bloated.
  • I can gain 10 pounds or MORE as far as 2 weeks in advance of my TOM, depending on whether I have also consumed sodium.

It's a vicious cycle for me which also includes pre menstral constipation, etc.

Right now my scale solves this problem for me, because it won't weigh me when I've gained too much.

I still weigh, but only count the gain if it persists for a solid week.

I weigh every day. Any gain isn't really a surprise by now. :)

Same with me. my weight gain is usually up to a week prior to starting. And then after the 2nd or 3rd day of the actual cycle... i'm already dropping back down to my usual weight.
