5k for an old lady

I don't normally post stuff, but today I had a lovely NSV. Two years ago, I couldn't walk half a mile w/o wanting to call the paramedics. Today I ran (6mph) a 5k in less than 31 minutes. Certainly not world class, but my personal best, and not bad for a 60 year old, lifelong couch potato. To all of you, don't wait as long as I did to get healthy. If I can do it, you can too.

Great job! I'm twenty, and I never ran a 5K under the 34 minutes haha.

Great effort thats inspiring! You should be proud of yourself. I have also recently started C25K and already starting to enjoy little bit of jogging. I wish the pains go away quickly so I put more effort into it.

Thank you for sharing! That is amazing. I am 26 and I did my first 5K about 8 months ago. I completed it in about 45 minutes and thought i was going to die but i COMPLETED it and I wasnt last. It was such a great feeling!

Congratulations! That is a great success story.
I am close to being able to but have yet to run 5K in a stretch. You inspire me to keep at it. (I would be ecstatic with your time)

In my country, you are considered middle aged and even the public transportation company makes you run after the bus easily :)) (and no free rides!)

Old here means "lady with thin white hair walking with a stick". So stop calling yourself old unless you feel that way!
