Hey everyone! So I'm living by myself now for the first time, and I have to admit I'm possibly the worst cook that ever walked the planet. Do you have any suggestions for healthy, fresh foods I can make myself on a college-student budget? Preferably not involving fire - I have plenty of scars from THOSE experiments

Cooking is easy. Get a few recipes from magazines, cookbooks, this site, etc. Follow the recipes exactly.
A few tips:
1. Do NOT put your finger or any other body part in front of the sharp end of the knife.
2. If it says to stir constantly, do that. Do not stop stirring or it will burn.
3. Use the numbers on the dial, 1 is simmer, 10 is burn the food, medium is 4 or 5.
4. Use a timer. Do not rely on looking at the clock. You will forget and burn the food.
5. Most importantly, never, ever fry bacon naked. :laugh:0
