LOVE YOURSELF!

I've noticed that there are so many self-loathing people on MFP and continuously degrade themselves and say that they're "gross" or just plain out starve themselves. It's discouraging to see on my feed everyday and I am hoping that I am not the only big girl out there who loves herself and wants to reward my body by getting it in the best shape possible! WHETHER YOU ARE 100 POUNDS OR 1,000 POUNDS YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL and SPECIAL.
I just started this journey a few weeks ago, and I was certainly one of those to come up with every excuse why I couldn't go to the gym, but now with my fiance out at sea I want him to come home SHOCKED! I work 60 hours a week, and still find time to go to the gym for at least an hour, 5 times a week. I am sick of too many excuses, and not enough taking action. I am not going to be making any excuses anymore. I am doing this for me, to be healthier and happier.
You can do it too! Tomorrow is a new day, leave the stress and the disappointment in the past!

I agree!! I think what most people don't realise, that during the weight loss process, they will find happiness with themselves. It will be before they hit their goal weight too. I know when I first started out, knowing I had 90 pounds to lose, it was a lot to take in. I felt that I would feel down about myself until I reached that goal. And it can really mess with your head. But after a few weeks of eating healthy and working out, I started to feel great. Then the pounds came off and jean sizes got smaller. There are so many reasons to celebrate and be happy with yourself throughout the whole process. I have read a lot of those posts too, and it is very sad.0

Thanks for starting this thread, jmegee. It is important that we love ourselves regardless of our weights, especially during our journeys. I like to celebrate each lb lost as a victory. I am slowly getting there.0

I love me almost every day. Usually at night before I go to sleep.0

I love myself quite frequently. But there is only so many times I can love myself in one day.0

I know it's shallow and vain (probably the only shallow, vain thing about me, and yes, I'm arrogant, too!), but I can't love myself when I'm fat. So I just won't get fat again!
And this time I am going to love myself skinny, even though I know I will still have physical flaws. And if anyone gives me any hell about it (or anything else), well I feel sorry for that person, because I won't put up with it!0
