Needing some extra support... I don't want to yo-yo!

So I had gone from 280 all the way down to 240, and then I slipped up. I started cheating more often, and before I knew it, I'm back at 273. Between working in the food service, classes with homework, getting exhausted, I just can't stay motivated. I don't have kids, I already have the man I will be with for hopefully the rest of my life, and he loves me no matter what... What else am I shooting for? I'm never a selfish person. I want that motivation that I had the last time I lost all of that, but it's proving to be extremely difficult. I'm only (almost) 23, and I don't know why I can't get motivated. I feel like I don't have anything to really work toward. Every morning, I wake up ready to start doing better, and then work happens. I never get a second to get a break, and the quickest thing to eat before I fall over is a cookie. Then I have class after work. I have to grab my sandwich because it's quick and I need to eat on the way, so that rules out a salad. Then I get home and have homework, then all that's in our fridge, because we're on a tight budget and the boyfriend is extremely picky, we have things like chicken fingers. Pastas. Everything that is my downfall. I'm really hoping to find someone close to the same boat as me. Anyone willing to help me kick m own *kitten*?

sounds like your BF needs to be more supportive of you and help you achieve your weight loose goals. I know its had to stay focused but do it for you. maybe you can prepair some food that will last a few days on a free day.

Losing weight isn't about other people. It's about taking care of yourself and your health. It's all about you. Obviously you had a reason for trying to lose weight, so what made you sign up on MFP and try in the first place?

You actually probably need to start being a little selfish. I know we women tend to focus on taking care of everyone elses needs first (such as you getting the foods your boyfriend likes because he's picky), but we really need to be taking care of ourselves first or we are in no position to be taking care of anyone else and if we put ourselves last, we teach everyone else to treat us the same way. Just think of those instructions on airplanes - put your own oxygen mask on first before helping anyone else.

You have to decide for yourself why you want to lose weight and why it's important to you. If it's not important to you, then you will not succeed. So just take some time to think about what you want for yourself and what ultimately is important to you. Is it to be a certain weight or just to be strong enough to jog around the block? Why does it matter to you?

    Good luck!

You need a goal. It helps to feel like you have a mission to accomplish. How is your health? If you have high blood pressure, or high blood sugar maybe you want to improve those.

I was kind of in the same boat as you are. I started my weight lose journey back in March 2011 and stopped doing what I needed to do for myself in July 2012. I had lost 40 pds and only had 9 pds to go to my goal. Well I started feeling depressed because I plateaued for a couple of months and that discouraged me so I began to eat unhealthy foods again. I gained 30 of the 40 pds back and just recently decided that I need to get back into shape.

My husband has always encouraged me and loves me unconditionally at any weight. He knows that since I have gained the weight back, my overrall health has deteriorated. I have finally decided to get back on this healthy life style journey once again.

Feel free to add me if you would like! Good luck to you

Plenty of other things beyond cookies and sandwiches you can take, that don't take any longer to grab, make and eat. Tubs of cottage cheese, grilled chicken breast/salmon fillet (you can devote thirty minutes to preparing the weeks worth), nuts and seeds, hard boiled eggs, fruit, couscous... these things don't take long to prepare, and can be taken with you and grabbed quite easily. It just takes a bit of thought and planning.
