I read the information about calories burned, but I am a little slow in this area. If I eat within my calorie range and when I look at my progress and my net calories are near or below my range am I losing weight? I have only been on MFP for a short time and find it very helpful. I lost 2 lbs. my first week. So if MFP says I need to eat xxx calories and I exercise, do I get to eat more calories or just continue to do what I am doing. I just confused myself again!!!! I checked my report and it talks about net calories. I am totally confused.

Yes, you get to eat back the calories you burned. Some speed up their weight loss by not eating those but I feel like I'm starving if I don't so I do!!0

Hi food lover, welcome to the sight, if I can help in anyway let me know. Yes, enter the food you eat and the exercise you do. The more exercise you do the more calories you get to eat. I dont always eat all the calories Im allowed but your supose to. Go to see ya here, theres a few of us from FL Emily :flowerforyou:0

Just a note.....when you log your exercise MFP automatically adds the calories back onto your food diary for you. I didn't realize this the first time I did it and I ended up eating more than I should have the first day. :ohwell:0

Michele, hey fellow food lover!
I have a hard time eating all my calories but I do make the attempt. My daily goal is set at 1500 and I really struggle to get over at least the 1200 mark without going over my fat, sodium, and protein. But yes, eat as many of those calories as you can without blowing up the other numbers. After you exercise, your body needs those calories! Christine0
