Best show ever!!! I even watch all the reruns. Any time I find it on, that is what I watch. My oldest son acts like Sheldon, that is his new nick name.

The episode that I thought was really funny was when they were trying to figure out what Sheldon does everyday, at the same time, in an out of the way room. They install a hidden camera, but Sheldon replaces it with a video feed of him creating a worm hole. Then an alien jumps out and grabs his face. And Sheldon throws something on them while they are watching it. That was funny! Then later it turns out he just plays hacky sack by himself and counts it (and that was why there was a number written on the board).

That episode when Penny and Leonard's mom came home drunk had me DYING! Favorite line (Beverly to Leonard): "Why didn't you tell me you were tappin' my homegirl"?

My husband is an experimental physicist. He is not socially awkward, he's always been popular with ladies, he doesn't play video games, and he does not read comic books. He is also outdoorsy, adventurous, physically active. But, it's still fun to have a show on tv about physicists. My husband does like star trek and we both have a lot of fun laughing at the absurdity and bad science in it (I also studied biology). He would never be a trekkie or go to a convention) and he likes star wars, stargate, and other sci fi and quirky movies. He's very creative, artistic, inventive (obviously). He's a lot of fun to have around. And he is very humble (I adore him and he would be embarrassed if he heard me talking about him like this).

  • I love this show to death. I'm neither geeky or a science wizard, and I think this show is very well written, and funny!

    Casting Blossom was genius!

I would like to know what people think is funny about this show. I've watched 2 episodes and didn't even crack a smile.

?? How do you explain humor. It's a personal thing. Etiher you thinks it's funny or you don't.

Ahhh, Big Bang Theory is a great show! I love Sheldon, and, being a physicist myself, I recognize a lot of his quirks in many people I know! "There, there" with a pat on the shoulder has become a sort of an inside joke at work whenever someone's frustrated.

I'm also impressed they're doing such a good job with the science itself in the show, the whiteboards in the background have often stuff I see in scientific talks and it's so weird and unexpected and strangely satisfying - I remember once Sheldon intimidating some poor students and the whiteboard behind him had stuff we were discussing at work just a few days ago, and it made me jump out of my seat and stick my face to the tv trying to get a good look at the board

Oh thats soooo adorable I am not a physcist but am quite bright lol I had to look up
the string theory just out of interest lol
I love the show especially Shelly hes so Quirky
I think the show is so hilarious

    Sheldon is Asexual.

Raj is kinda a jerk when he drinks. I think he should hook up with Stu.

I LOVE Leonard. I have loved him since Roseanne.

Oh I have a theory that Howard's mother is Roseanne and that will be how the final episode ends.
I dont think Sheldon is Asexual- I just think he has to be "turned on" mentally before he gets physically perform coitus lmbo...he has "performed" with older intelligent women :)
yep i can see that totally

IDK, I think sex would be way to messy and germy for him to ever do it. But if he did, it would be Leonard's mom.

"Blossom" was fictious...she doesn't actually exist.
  • I have a tshirt with the whole soft Kitty song on it lol. I'm such a geek. However I did answer a question right in my physics class because of the show. When I told my teacher how I new the answer he went off topic for 30min about how great the show is lol. I <3 BBT!!! my favorite episode I think is when Sheldon gets called in for sexual harassment, actually one of my favorites. The other is when Sheldon gets drunk at the awards banquet and wakes up with no pants! Lol

Sheldon singing the elements is my ringtone for one of my sons. LOL
