Calorie sweet spot

I had no appetite last week (which wasn't like me at all; something happened in my life that effected me extraordinarily), and this week I am getting into the 1500 per day zone, which is too high if I want to lose weight. I need to focus, and do the 1200-1300 range. Does anyone else find this is their experience- that there is a sweet spot they need to hit calorie-wise (given these are nutritious calories, not junk food) along with exercise, to meet their goals?

Why is that too high for you to lose weight. I was losing weight easily eating 1500, and just bumped my calories up to 1800. Still well below my TDEE so I should have zero trouble losing weight at this calorie count.0
