You can do seated calf raises. And to add resistance just put a bunch of books on your knees or buy ankle weights to wear. No one will see them as they are under your desk anyway.
You can do neck stretches by rolling your head from one side to the other.
You can sit up very straight and contract your ab muscles. Deep breathing exercises for your lungs, etc....0 -
Stand and sit repeatedly for 30 seconds every 15 minutes or so.
Choose a muscle group (upper legs, lower legs, abs, arms, butt), tighten for 30 seconds. Choose another group and repeat. Or tighten group for 5 seconds, release for 1 second, continue in reps.
Stand at your desk.
Replace your office chair with a fitness ball.
If you have more than half a page to read, print it and pace across your office while reading it.
If you're in a multi-story building take the stairs. Use the bathroom on a different floor.
Walk to a coworker's office rather than emailing or texting them.0 -
lol mine are kinda silly but hey gotta do something. I make an effort to get up atleast once and hour and walk to the break room. I'm trying to increase my water so i usually fill it up again. In the bathroom as i wash my hands i do calf raises, usually 30 of them. About 3-4 times a day when returning to my office I do 20 squats..I will stand infront of my chair, squat till i feel my butt just touch the seat and then stand up again. Occassionally I will close my door and do some push ups.
I've read about just figiting to burn extra cals, bouce ur legs, swivel back in forth in ur chair, all while squeezing ur muscles. You can also do leg lifts under ur desk without ppl noticing0 -
Oh i've read about the fitness ball instead of ur chair...really thinking of doing that one. You'd have to contract ur muscles all the time to stay on it..course i'd prolly just fall off!0
