Feedback on P90?

Has anyone here tried P90? I need some input. I need to lose about 70 more pounds, and I read somewhere it was better to start with P90 and not PX90. I've gotten much stronger with the 30 Day Shred, but I know I still have a long way to go. These sets are kind of expensive, so I want to hear what you all think before I take the plunge. Thanks!

P90 is a good program, but it does have a lot of repetition.
P90x has a lot more variety.
It really depends on what you feel comfortable with. If it was me, I'd go ahead and get P90X and modify the exercises as needed as I progressed. It tends to take more than one round for women to see the kinds of results you see in the infomercials, and P90X will take you further than P90 in that regard.
The other thing to consider is the amount of time you have - the P90 programs are 35-45 minutes while P90X is 50-90 minutes. Most of the P90x workouts are 50-60 minutes, but then 3 days a week you add on ab ripper x, which is another 16 minutes. The 4th day is usually YogaX, which is 90 minutes.
I hope this helps a bit - I'm currently doing P90X (halfway through week 7) and I've done P90, so feel free to message or add me if you have any questions!0 -
I started with 30 Day Shred, then Body Revolution, then P90X. I would not have been ready for P90X without first doing Body Revolution. I did Power 90 a few years ago, but didn't stick with it because as someone said above, it was very repetitive.
P90X is an okay option if you are ultimately looking to gain muscle. You could start out following the Lean schedule and modifying if you are not in great shape yet.
If you enjoyed Shred I would recommend you look into Jillian's Body Revolution. It's a 12 week program and I really enjoyed it. The workouts are 30 minutes. I think it would be a better starting point than Power 90.0
