Bank exercise calories or eat them?

Please can someone help clarify whether I should be banking the extra calories earned through exercise? I was happily losing 2lb a week on 1200 calories but then decided to add in some more exercise (other than the usual walking up and down the hill to school with the kids etc...). Now I've slowed down and am finding it really frustrating that I'm not losing weight! Thank you x

My weight loss slowed considerable after 3 months no matter what I did. I set my weight loss to 1/2 a pound a week and my life style to sedentary. I was very happy to not be gaining. I am on year two of my new healthier lifestyle. You can try adding a few calories in food or you can start using more than the scale to measure success. For example, with the first 30 pounds gone I dropped 2 jean sizes, then 10 more pounds another jean size, and the last five, another. I found that I could exercise longer with the pounds gone. Now I am working on maintenance, and it is tough! I am working on my fitness level up, and making sure my foods are all nutrient dense...0
