DOMS = delayed onset muscle soreness and does not cause weight gain. However, weight lifting/sudden increase in exercise after a long period will cause your muscles to swell and retain water (with or without DOMS) which can cause weight gain.
It's only week 1, i wouldn't even bother looking at the scales for another few weeks, you need to understand that scales are not the be all and end all of success/progress.
Just have a look in the mirror or start checking your body part measurements or if you don't want to do that then simply just keep an eye on your dress size, pant size etc.
You will start to notice a difference in time, don't fret0 -
Focus on eating at a reasonable level below your TDEE and stay on your exercise program. Nothing happens immediately or even quickly. Just stick with it. If you need short term motivation then start setting strength or time goals and work towards them. The rest will slowly take care of itself.0

I can see how it can be hard to keep up with a workout when you have a school load, and have to take care of your kids. Just remember to watch what you're eating, and the portion sizes as well. As long as you find a way to stay active, wether it's walking around the house, or even have your kids join you in small activities can help. If you are lifting weights, you will not see much of a difference in weight loss your 1st week. Just like someone else menitoned, don't stress or bother what your weigh-in was for wk1. just stay focused and remain positive, and don't cheat yourself when you're logging in your information.0

I have told myself that I am in this for the long haul. I try to avoid always checking the scale, getting upset if I haven't lost a bunch of weight yet, getting upset if I mess up and eat something really bad and go over calories for the day, etc. I need to be easy on myself and adjust to this because this is a lifestyle change for me. This is the rest of my life for me.
My advice: Don't get worked up about 1 week. Or even 1 month. Just go with it.0 -

And OP - it takes time and commitment. You just started on this program. Results aren't going to magically start showing right off the bat. Be patient and just take it one step at a time.0
