I am 41 years old, 6ft tall, out of shape, and at my highest weight ever,353 lbs. Pretty sobering wake up call. Dot a new Doctor that I visited with yesterday and he wanted to do full blood labs and tests,to see exactly where i stand physically. I am already on Blood pressure med & cholesterol med,and I dont want to make it a trifecta with diabetes. Not waiting for results,I already started my diet and joined the gym, which I hope to go to at least 2 days a week(very limited time due to work and Family).I have a tread mill at home that I can use a couple days a week too. I hope to get 4-5 days a week exercise in. The good news is, that my Doctor told me something I already know, and is common sense, the medical issues i have can likely be solved by losing weight. When I was in great shape,I was about 215-225 pounds, which is where I would like to get to now.My Doctor suggested i shoot for 53 pounds to start and get under 300,and the health benefits would be good to start, and then I can work on the other remining weight. Sounds like a good plan. I plan to use myfitnesspal on a regular basis and track my goals. Wish me luck!
