I'm new at counting calories

Hello I'm 5'11 308, I'm very new at this MFP, my daily calories are 1660, I eat a average of 1400-1500 calories , I just started this week. I'm a little nervous if I should be eating less? Also I'm having a hard time drinking 8 glasses of water a day. Any advise?

Do you mean that your daily calorie goal given to you by MFP is 1660? If so, you're fine to eat right up to 1660, as that goal has a calorie deficit built into it. Given that you have quite a bit to lose, you would also be fine eating a bit less, at least for the time being. See how you feel, but definitely don't worry if you eat up to 1660. As you get further towards your goal, you can start to fine tune things to make sure you're getting the right amount.

With the water, your body can get hydration from other beverages too, so it's fine to count things like milk, tea, soda etc towards your water goal. (A lot of people choose not to, and aim to get 8 glasses of pure water, but it's personal choice; your body still uses water from other beverages). Obviously if you are drinking things other than water, make sure you are counting the calories in them. Being adequately hydrated is important, but not everyone needs the same amount every day. You also get water from the food that you eat. How much you need to drink depends on a number of factors including the climate, and your activity level. If your urine is light in colour, that's a good sign that you are getting enough.
