Switching from working on cardio to lifting question

So I'm going to switch from focusing primarily on cardio to primarily on lifting (NROL), and I was wondering, since on here i have my profile set up as I think 6 workouts a week at 45 mins each, and so MFP calculates stuff based on that and only counts cardio as workouts. So if I switch to mostly lifting, even though I may be working out the same amount of time, should I switch it on here to not working out? or only working out the 2 days I do cardio or something

The workout goals you tell MFP have no impact on your calorie goals.0

My advice would be to not worry about it. Set custom calorie and macro goals and eat them every day. Do the same exercise every week. Adjust calories as needed based on results.0

The exercise goals you set up in your profile have zero impact on your calories or anything else. They're just for goal setting. You are expected, per the way MFP is designed to be used, to add your exercise back on a daily basis when you do it. You can set that exercise planner to zero to prove it to yourself.0

I read the book, worked out my calories from that.
I manually set my calories to match my non-workout days.
I worked out the difference between non-workout days and work out days calories - I then made an exercise with these calories.
So on workout days, I enter this workout and it gives me a goal of the calories I need.
Hopefully that makes some kind of sense.0 -
