Cheap and effective heart rate monitors????

I want a heart rate monitor however I am on a very tight budget. Could anyone recommend something closer to the 50 dollar range... Thanks so much

    Plenty of peeps using polar FT4 and loving it. I'm going to get one soon although atm using a Mio drive plus (no chest strap). I'm thinking ill like the polar ft4 over the mio just from reading the reviews and it's options in comparison to the latter.

    Other places to price them are amazon and heartratemonitorsusa.com. I am looking at the FT60 and on HRMusa.com it is only $134 vs the over 200 retail price. Been saving for mine.
