I took my first step of this journey on 12/14/09

And in three months time, I have lost 20#. I have many more to go, but I'm so, so happy with my success. I work out 4-5 times a week. I try to make the best possible food choices.
There have been cookies, and wine, and meals out but I think if you don't learn a way to get around those obstacles and wake up every morning and start with a fresh new day, you will not succeed.
There's a cliche I'm pretty fond of with regard to this whole lifestyle change:
"It's not about motivation, it's about dedication."

Thanks to everyone here for all the encouragement and support. Woooo hoooooo!

 YAY for you~! Keep up the good work. Always remember, everyday is a new day, and we will have screw ups but we just learn from them. I weigh in on Saturday, and I am praying that I am finally down my 20lbs too. Good luck on your journey!
