Family meal plans

I'm looking to write a bi-weekly menu for our home. I want to change everything to healthy, easy, budget easy, kid and husband friendly meals. Maybe in a crock pot or quick to throw together.

What are your favorites?

    You should check out thenourishinghome.com. I really like her, she cooks real food, from scratch, but it's not all complicated. She gives you her entire meal plans for two weeks at a time, and also she gives you her meal plan layout if you just want to make your own. She uses some ingredients that aren't as wallet friendly, like raw, organic cheese and the likes, but if you choose to cook meals that she makes, it is easy to substitute with the less expensive brands or styles of these foods.

    I don't follow her meal plans, but I like her style a lot and have used some of her recipes. She also uses her leftovers from the previous evenings dinners for lunches and is very frugal with her healthful (which sometimes equals expensive) ingredients.
  • This is a great idea!
    Some of my family favourites are;
    - Stir fry (with lean protein like chicken breast or lean beef & heaps of veggies. Can be served with rice or noodles if you like.)
    - Wholemeal pasta with lean beef or veggie sauce
    - Home made burgers ( using lean chicken or beef mince served with salad and sweet potato.
    - Tacos or boritoes using low sodium seasoning and wholeweat shells or wraps
    - Simple grilled protein (fish, chicken breast, lean lamb, lean beef, lean pork) served with lots of veggies.
    - Homemade pizza, using wholemeal pitta bread for the base with healthy toppings
    - Quiche

    Hope this gives you at least one new idea :)
