I've just joined and tried adding other women of similar age/goals but keep getting "Who are you?" / "Do I know you?" replies

Please be my friend, especially if you have tips, recipes etc - I need support and inspiration!

Welcome! I'm not really your target audience, but just a tip - if you're sending people friend requests, you will likely get more success if you drop them a note along with it, explaining how you found them and why you want to be friends. Some people, especially those who have been here a while, get lots of requests and as time goes on, some people become more inclined to ignore the blank ones. Also, if you fill out your profile a little bit, that will help too. It might seem a bit unnecessary, but often people prefer to know a bit about someone before they add them.
