New to MFP! From Washington DC metro area

Hi all! I am new on here. I am 5'6 and currently weigh 226 pounds, during summer I was down to about 215, but gained 10 pounds after moving and starting grad school :( I am 27 now and can tell it is harder to lose weight now than it was a few years ago.

My husband and I want to TTC but I want to lose weight before hand. My goal is 170, I have been trying to do this for over 10 years, my highest weight was 250 in 2007 and my lowest was 199 in 2009.

I need all the help and encouragement I can get, I tend to give up instead of sticking with it!
