Chewable Calcium with Vita D

Like so many other older women, my doctor recommended Calcium with Vita D. I've always taken this in pill form, but most recently bought a jar of chewables.

I took my first this morning, and after so long without sugar carbs, was shocked by how over-sweet they were. I looked up the chewables here on MFP and it says no carbs. But in checking the label, the first two ingredients are Dextrose and Sucrose. How is it possible that this is zero carb?

In googling OTC chewables, I learn that many contain up to 4 carbs - which on my ketosis-driven food plan is a diet killer. It will be hard to make up for that on my less than 10 carb/day diet without sacrificing some of my daily favorites like heavy whipping cream in my coffee or cheese in my omelet.

Time to look at the ingredients labels on all of our supplements - especially true for those on the low-carb diets.
