Rest day or not on 30DS

I have done level 1 day 2 today and really enjoying this! Do you guys recommend having a rest day at any point I always thought you should for your muscles to recover, but then it appears you're supposed to do the 30 days in a row? Any ideas what is best?

Also, once you have done the 30 days what would you suggest next? I have seen a load of her DVDs on youtube - yoga etc. Has anyone then chose a different '30 day' DVD or have you repeated?
