Fitbit and driving

Day 2 with my fitbit, and I love it! Trying to find an excuse to walk somewhere and to convince my 3 year old to come too!

I have however noticed that the fitbit credits me with steps and stairs when I'm driving the car. I assume this is to do with the motion of the car, but I don't know how to stop it. Any suggestions?

I've only had it give me credit when I'm driving my Wrangler, I assume it's because the ride is bouncy. When I'm in any other vehicle, it never gives me anything extra.

if you have a stick shift you should put it in your shoe to make sure you get credit for the calories burned operating the clutch.
