Going over in Sugar and Protein columns

Hello,

I have a question regarding Sugar.

Little bit about my nutrition goals. I am on 1,470 daily calories and allowed to have the following:
Day Week
Total carbs (g): 202 1625
Sugar (g): 29 233

I never exceeding the daily calories or total carbs allotment, but most of the time I do exceed sugar and protein allotment. I am not really worry about protein, however, do I need stay below on sugar? For example, the total sugar for last week was 478g and I am only allowed 233g.

Do I need to keep sugar under the allowed amount or as long as I do not exceed total carbs it is OK to exceed?
