Has anyone ever gotten off blood pressure meds by
1. weight loss alone
2. reduced sodium intake alone, and if so how much did you have daily?
3. or did you have to do a combo of both?
I would love to no longer need bp meds, but Im thinking only 1500 mg of sodium a day maybe nearly impossible.
Would love to hear some success stories.

I haven't had an issue with blood pressure so I can't comment on that but you can have a great diet with 1500mg or less of sodium. THe key is to not eat processed foods (prepackaged, frozen, etc) THose are packed with sodium.
If you fill your day with fresh foods and not packaged foods you can easily be under the sodium limit. There is sodium in everything but some things have much more than others. Sauces and dressings can also pack a lot of sodium. The trick is to prepare everything yourself. Make your own soups. Make your own salad dressings/marinades, etc. If you love a particular marinade water it down a bit. Limit your juices and such as well.0
