i don't always get the chance to eat when i'm hungry. sometimes i have to go 2-3 hours without eating, even if i feel like i'm starving.
just wondering: am i going into starvation mode when i'm so hungry but i can't eat for another 2 hours? like will it affect my weight loss?
i still eat all my cals, but like i said, when i'm at work, its not easy for me to eat whenever i want.

No, you're not going into "starvation mode" because you didn't eat for 2 hours. If that were the case, everybody who utilizes Intermittent Fasting (google it) would be having some very serious issues. Read the first post in this thread:

Starvation mode is a term thrown around here far too often. Your metabolism isn't affected by not eating unless you go more than 72 hours without eating.
If you can't eat but are hungry drink water. Or try to have things around that you can snack on when hungry. Nuts, seeds, a protein bar cut into pieces... things like that. Easy to have in your pocket, on your desk, etc that you can just pick at when hungry without having to stop working to eat a meal or larger snack.
When you do eat try to eat a decent amount of protein and fibre. Both will help you feel full, longer. Also, increase your water which helps.0 -
