Gym withdrawal?

I've never been much of a gym person in the past, preferring to get my exercise from activities, but for the last two months I've been 'gyming' every weekday morning without fail.

Today events conspired to deny me my gym visit. I now feel absolutely exhausted and just want to go back to bed. Is this how I used to feel all the time before the energizing morning gym session? No wonder I was a miserable old sod.

Anyone else find negative side effects if they miss their gym session in the morning?

My rest days are the weekend. But being a parent, 'rest' is relative term. It's not unusual for me to burn more calories on a rest day with my daughter, than on a gym day followed by work

Yes. My rest days are my worst days. I'm sluggish, my joints ache, and I'm irritable (more than usual)

I'm the same way. My body is so used to getting up, going to the gym, getting ready then working it doesn't know what to do when I sleep in, then get up and get ready and don't include the gym. Which is partly why I'm so bad at taking an actual rest day
