I need help with this low calorie lifestyle!

Okay... I'm at 1200 calories a day, working out with the C2k three days a week and hardly making a dent into my fat. I'm basically eating the same things that I was before, which were 80% not bad, but no carbs at night and absolutely no junk food (except today). I'm not losing like I feel I should be. I know everyone's body is different, but I'd like to hear what you guys are doing. I need help figuring this out....

I would advise eating more on the days you run for starters.

Secondly, you really need to give any new program/workout/diet 4 weeks to start seeing results, then if you're not you can adjust at that point. Patience is key!

It looks like you just joined this month, it will take time. It took me almost a month before I lost weight. Try measuring yourself as well as weighing yourself. I also would say to eat more when you're running-and figure out your TDEE and BMR to make sure you're giving yourself enough fuel to run(http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12)

    Hey lady!

    Stick with it, it'll happen!!!!

I am on a 1270 diet, but when I work out I have to "eat back" some of caloires - otherwise I don't lose.

I also started eating 5 to 6 small meals day - this has worked wonders for me!

    Good Luck!

Eat more, have patience, and keep going! And yes, highly recommend the road map link previously posted. Broke my plateau!

please, please... seriously take time and follow that thread. I cannot begin to cheer enough for the eating above BMR but below TDEE method.

the 1200 calorie lifestyle doesn't have to be, and I'm guessing is going to be under what you need to lose.

Read this thread - it's simple, but it's not easy:

Make sure you are drinking enough water and getting enough rest!!! Like what was mentioned before, if you are just starting to work out more intensely, your body is probably still gaining/toning muscle, which will actually weigh more, so you might be losing weight that is just not showing up on the scale yet because of your muscle gain! Also, make sure that you are eating enough (not feeling hungry or deprived) because starvation mode is definitely something to avoid!!!

please take the time to figure out your BMR/TDEE and set your calorie according to that.

alot of people see "1200 calories" written on other sites and assume it's a magical number for "dieting". it's not.

there isn't really such a thing as "good" or "bad" food. despite what the advocates of clean eating and all of those other orthorexic proponents tell you (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthorexia_nervosa).

you can lose weight and get fit eating a satisfying mix of foods.

take a look at the information in the Eat, Train, Progress group and setup your calorie deficit and macro targets according to that info.

    good luck.
